SRC Pedicle Screw System
Simple. Robust. Effective
The SRC trans-pedicular screw system is a robust, easy to use, top-loading
instrumentation system for trans-pedicle fixation and post-lateral fusion.
Features
The unique bone screw thread combines a medullar bone thread (designed for soft vertebral bone) and a cortical bone thread (designed for harder pedicle bone).
Together they provide superior fatigue life and pull-out strength.
Buttress thread in the screw head eliminates the need for additional lock rings, lock nuts or caps.
±150 Poly-axial pin rotation simplifies rod placement in the screw head.
Pre-locking of the pin to the head allows parallel compression on TLIF.
SRC Poly-Axial trans pedicular screw.
The unique bone screw thread combines a medullar bone thread (designed for soft vertebral bone) and a cortical bone thread (designed for harder pedicle bone).
Together they provide superior fatigue life and pull-out strength.
The thread is dual start and reduce the number of revolutions need to place the screw.
Buttress thread in the screw head eliminates the need for additional lock rings, lock nuts or caps.

SRC EVO 6 Minimal invasive technology.
Saspine has been instrumental in establishing minimal invasive technology in South Africa since 2010.
Saspine is also the proud owner of local and international patents in the minimal invasive technology fields.
Our latest sixth evolution EVO6 percutaneous screws offer unique features that greatly improve the ease of rod placement and lordosis correction. Break-off tabs of different lengths are used to manage tower interference due to the lordosis curve.
This set can be used for the reconstruction of failed open surgery cases with screw sizes up to 10mm diameter.
Saspine offer saw bone training and training on our MIS simulators that is a combination of skin, soft and hard tissue that present the surgeon with a real life feel when intruducing the MIS instrumentation.
SRC EVO5 Minimal invasive technology
The SRC EVO 5 minimal invasive technology set utilize short tower technology. This eliminates the common problem of tower interference especially at the L5-S1.
The patented spring biased towers clip onto the screws and is removed after the locking cap is torqued by a special instrument. This enables a class leading reduction in the tower diameter.
A patented retraction system fits onto the screws and provide many options for the surgeon with a wide selection of retractor blades to safely perform laminectomy and discectomy and to provide access to the inter space for placement of the TLIF.
Retraction can also be performed on the screws and the space kept open via the retraction frame.
SRC adjacent level surgery options
SCR topping off.
The SRC topping off system is a unique system for doing adjacent level surgery without disturbing the pervious fusion instrumentation.
The SRC topping off is designed to attach over the top screw of the previous construct without to remove the rod of the previous construct.
This reduces the incision size and patient morbidity.
SRC rod connector
A connector the integrates with the rod reduces to space between screws for the connector by halve. This enable more options in connecting with previous construct. This connector accommodates 5.5 to 6.35mm diameter rods and enable us to connect to most titanium systems on the market.
